Upload your photos

I have set up an account where we can all post photos. I'll have woody send out log in info through facebook rather than post it here...

The picasa album will be at http://picasaweb.google.com/08seniortrip

I will not make it public so you have to have the login info. I also won't post all 2000 some pictures that I took - I'll spare you...

Homeward Bound

So here we are, ready to depart from the airport in Rome. Notice the armed guard on the walkway behind us. They were everywhere...

Our tour guide Kyle is the person in the middle with the green Joshua Expeditions shirt on.

Then Chicago where we had to go through three different sets of security checkpoints and get yelled at by people with no Southern charm... but we made it

What a phenomenal experience. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
They are top notch.

Day 6

the colliseum, the forum, the prison of paul and peter, circus maximus, the pantheon all in one day

We are all overwhelmed, tired and ready to go home. Well at least I am. I think some of the students would stay another month if they could. There is just so much to take in...

We got re-routed a few times today. police kept charging around the city like something big was going on. So we find out that major world leaders are meeting in Rome at the UN. That would account for poice everywhere. At least we felt safe.

Day 5

The catholic museum, Sistene Chapel and St Peters Basilica. WOW. Our group shot was on the huge spiral stairs on the way in.

Digital photography is a beautiful thing. even though it is not allowed in the the sistene chapel. Guess they think we might take pictures of the ceiling...

Most of us got lost and had to go through two or three times. We learned how to fit in very tight spaces and navigate through large pushy tourist groups who will grab you and move you out of the way. That was a new experience for many of us.

551 steps to the top of the dome in St Peters but once you get there, what a view

Day 4

Trevi fountain and tired feet. We walked the spanish steps and had an artist take our photo at the top

Then we all had pizza for dinner. We have all gotten used to tight spaces at this point.

When In Rome...

We saw so much stuff today it was crazy!!!

We have a group picture but our hotel didn't have the wireless acess it advertised, so we are at a stuffy Internet place with 50 other people. Now that we've waited our turn, there's no time...

We will see the coluseum tomorrow. Your students are amazing young people - you should all be proud.
